Trick or Treat; Monster or Mouse

Every Insta-mom’s dream: friend works at cool store; sends you great clothes to put your cute kid. (Because said friend and kid are way cooler than me, obvs.) It happened. And June won’t remember any of us when she’s famous.

Since we’re using June’s cuteness for the happiness of our eyeballs, I wanted her to help with the ideating and, hopefully, love her Halloween costume without too much pink or glitter present.

notes from Our brainstorm sesh

– spaghetti
– Minnie Mouse
– nice (“but very scary… listen to my ROAR!”) monster

We ended up with two costumes – both using Uniqlo’s awesome kids clothes, one very pink and very glittery and not very not what I would’ve picked out but girlfriend has her own thing going on and honesty, I love it. (Okay, I love that she loves it.)

The fluffy fleece made the cutest monster that softened her terrifying roar (and it’s now our go-to jacket for the SF chill) and the HEATTECH pieces kept her warm so she didn’t need to wear a jacket - which she hates wearing even when it’s not covering up her Minnie dress.

Side note –

I ordered this cute (non-colorful.. ha!) pumpkin pail from Target online… totally thinking she could use it to trick or treat with aaaand it ended up being big enough for her to fit in. Online shopping fail.
